Jydan guest-stars as maris.. but lets ignore that. Basically this game wraps up a few lost ends.... We will now see the last days of doom on the Isle of Twilight Tears. Many months ago, a group of Exalts met by chance upon the road to Mordor. Er, I mean, Malkor's Guard. There was a party, you see, a wedding celebration of the Prefect's only son and the daughter-princess of the king of an important western isle. These are the members of the Dragon Blooded Group. Wood Aspect Ledaal Jynaru, Wyld Hunter extrodinaire and master of the dice-fu. Fire Aspect Cathak Tabius, graduate of the Heptagram, apprentice of some guy whose name I don't know, and owner of Sable Cicada, household slave. Sable Cicada, actually an Air Aspect in disguise is indeed a slave, having sold herself for the slim chance of finding the one who killed her guardian, and finding her parents. Our other Fire Aspect is a Talonlord in the Imperial Legions. Tabius' bully in primary school, Cathak Vanal totally kicks ass with his daiklaive and troops, not giving anybody shit they don't deserve, and dishing out plenty of shit to boot. Tala, Immaculate Monk, Formerly known as V'neef Tala, is a water aspect who totally flips out and beats people up. A staunch believer in the immaculate order, she most certainly did not join up to escape from her debauchery-filled childhood, nor does she totally sympathise with the evil anathema. Tala, Immaculate Monk, is the last line of defense against the heretical demons of the bad dudes, and is certainly woman enough to take down the kidnappers of the Scarlet Empress single handed. Bound by fate and ST magic, this rugged group of adventurers defeated the hostile bandit force raiding a farmhouse and rescued the captive child. In reward, and deft political manuvering, the Prefect's son Tatatshwan announced them heros and worthy of being his own private guests, giving them access to his manor and making them his sole social companions over the course of the ceremony. Unfortunately, his manuvering had no benefit to his own fate, for he was struck by an arrow that sent him to his death bed after discovering that a powerful anathema had been freed. Indeed, it was Malkor, the demon the city had been tasked to guard, whose soul was now free to take another host. And in time it did. Taking the host of Bentharr, protege of Illanador, Captain of the Guard, the demon no doubt sook to do a great disservice upon the realm as fortold by the scripting-in-monk-blood upon the walls of his desecrated immaculate shrine / prison. Fortunately the characters slew him, despite his attempts to escape and the interference of two other powerful but foolish solars. Our well-off group of adventurers grouped together, realizing that they were at the center of something that was too great to be ignored, and struck out, discovering the ancient pacts that demanded the blood of the people of Malkor's Guard, pacts that would ensure the death of every descendant of the original city that the solar had ruled long ago. They had little time to concern themselves with this, however, as they had just discovered an orichulum mine revealed by a landslide, a vein of such magnitude that it would be nearly impossible to conceal or destroy. In exploration of this site, the new prefect's father Tammanah died in a landslide.. a landslide that was not by any means natural. The Wyld Hunt was called, and the reformed Tepet Legion arrived to demonstrate that the spirits would not last. But there was no time to stay and fight; the solar shards had found new hosts and had to be dealt with before it was too late. With a talon of troops from the immaculate order along with healing and other supplies, the group struck off for the new position of the anathema, and wandered directly into a trap. Unbalanced by the raped and pillaged village that had been the home of the unfortunate solars, they struck north and were pinned at the mouth of a canyon. Sorcerous beasts attacked, and in a matter of moments the talon of the order was defeated, as was a scale of Vanal's own elite troops. Drugged, captured, the Dragon Blooded were shipped to a faraway island, the Isle of Twilight Tears, an indestructable prison with demons at it's heart and the last remaining first age civilization witnissing the final of it's valient last days. With the barbarian nations that share these lands at their back and their own knowledge, skills, and powers, the Dragon Blooded must choose to either join one side or the other... or forsake the contest altogether for the sake of returning home and saving their families against an even worse menace. The menace of a perfect circle of solars, and one lunar, reunited against time and space to once and for all wreck their vengence upon the traitorous children that deserted them. Did the new prefect survive? Will the immacualtes hold true to their faith? Can the vile anathema be defeated in time? If the demon escapes, will the entire world be covered in a shadow of darkness? And what will become of Cicada and her erstwhile lover? All these questions and more are asked... all these and more that have yet to come to pass. This is the world of Exalted. I'm your ST, GoldenH. Thank you for reading, goodnight.
