[18:30] * Cicada fights to get into some position where she can relax with her swollen belly. But the pains keep coming even when she is lying down - she must have to walk more, been sitting down too much lately, yeah that has got to be it.

[18:42] <Storyteller> then, uncle quietly comes in and opens the door, smiling lovingly at all the kids. Nobody knows his real name.... not even a blooded, but he's been here as long as anyone can remember.

[18:43] <Cicada> "I'm sure you will succeed. You maybe just have to get other partners. I certainly can't fault you for frequency of intercourse..."

[18:51] <Storyteller> He smiles and reaches into his pocket, removing two bright, green leaves, putting them on the bulging baby.

[18:52] <Cicada> "And wht's that? Birthing charms? I'm sick of the pains I've been having all day already. How about something for those."

[18:53] <Cicada> "I have to walk. It's getting painful to lie down again. Get out of my way you. Yes, you!"

[18:53] <Storyteller> he chuckles softly and turns to leave the room, stepping over a couple twisted together on the floor.

[19:26] * Cicada eats carefully. But is happy she can finally get something down, now if only she wasn't so impossibly fat.

[19:39] <Storyteller> she starts chewing on the ends of her hair, nodding quickly 
[19:39] <Cicada> "Get me some goat cheese. I'm dying for it."

[19:40] <Storyteller> "I'll have to leave the city!.... you promise?"
[19:40] <Cicada> "I do. I'll arrange things for you."
[19:41] <Cicada> "And... ehhmm.. Magverth, have you considered to try and ask the local merchants before going on a journey..?"
[19:41] <Storyteller> "They never have any goats cheese!"

[19:47] * Cicada wobbles over to to her part. Trying to snare the man ever so carefully.
[19:49] <Storyteller> the swordsman finishes talking to the pesant as you approach him, flicking his blue cape behind him. As he turns to you, you can feel the damp coolness emenating from him, the strange drops of dew that drew your attention those many nights before.
[19:50] * Cicada draws a deep breath, relishing the cool sensation.
[19:50] <Storyteller> Then, he stops, looking at your belly in surprise

[19:52] <Storyteller> he nods quickly, and forces himself to smile

[19:53] <Storyteller> "I have been in a hell, dreaming of you, night and day, for the last four months." he says quietly, looking deep into your eyes.

[19:57] <Cicada> "And yes, I will. I even have found a cover for us to elope under."
[19:57] <Storyteller> "I can't stay here... you know it is so far from my home."
[19:57] <Storyteller> He smiles, amazed.

[19:58] <Cicada> "A 'sister' of mine wants to bed you. Sneaking her to your quarters will give us the opening we need."
[19:59] <Storyteller> he looks at you longingly, holding himself still against your skin.

[20:00] <Cicada> "I hope you are up to handling the both of us for a night or two."
[20:00] <Storyteller> "If it means that you will go with me... I.. can do it."
[20:01] <Cicada> "It will allow me to transport a few meagre supplies, and she will cover for us with 'uncle'. We'll get a nights head start, just as soon as she is asleep."

[20:02] <Storyteller> "I suppose... it's the least I can do for your friend...'
[20:02] <Storyteller> he brushes your hair aside softly, gazing deep into your eyes.
[20:02] <Cicada> "Heh. Yes, lets think of it as our way of showing gratitude."

[20:09] <Storyteller> he nods quickly and then steps to one side, walking away like nothing ever happened
[20:09] * Cicada too returns to her duties for the day.
[20:11] <Storyteller> your duties for the day are over, unless you want to go find one of your siblings.
[20:12] * Cicada will just rest and let Magverth do the troublesome stuff of arranging their time off (Mazarin has been doing so too often lately), and getting the cheese.
[20:14] <Storyteller> you have a nice, relaxing day, until nightfall..... Magverth handing you the cheese before shouting in joy and running to her room... and where are you meeting

[20:16] * Cicada goes to meet her lover together with Magverth next to the barn where nobody comes after working hours.

[20:17] <Cicada> "Not since four months ago. I felt 'they' were getting too suspicious of my frequent leavetaking."

[20:19] * Cicada embraces Magverth from behind and starts working her sesitive spots.

[20:27] <Storyteller> He nods, letting you go. You feel a slight thrill as he looks around quickly, then leans on the massive barn door, opening it slowly 
[20:28] <Storyteller> he motions quickly for the two of you to go in, then closes it slowly behind you
[20:30] <Storyteller> quietly he moves around the barn, checking on the animals, and lighting a few lamps here and there
[20:30] * Cicada holds Magverth and whispers to her a question as to what pile looks good to her.
[20:31] <Storyteller> She doesn't know, but eventually she picks one where the straw doesn't seem to be too sharp
[20:32] * Cicada supports herself a litle on Magverth as they lie down in it. Then begins warming her up, making quite the scene for her lover when he returns.
[20:33] <Storyteller> When he comes back, he seems rather shocked, but only for a moment before he slowly crawls over to the two of you
[20:35] * Cicada and her lover makes love to Magverth as much as they can and leave her hopefully in deep sleep.

[21:22] <Cicada> "What the..?!"
[21:23] <Storyteller> Your husband raises his hand, and a massive jade daiklaive jumps to it. He narrows his eyes as he looks down from above.
[21:23] <Storyteller> "That's not any normal anima flare..."
[21:24] <Cicada> "Some sorcerous assault?!"
[21:24] <Storyteller> silently he adjusts the straps on his armor
[21:25] <Storyteller> "I've never seen any sorcery with a essence flare like THAT before."
[21:25] * Cicada sees to her own gear as well.
[21:25] <Storyteller> slowly you see that an iconic image rises up above the glowing essence, though its' too far away to see what that image is.....
[21:26] <Storyteller> "There's only one thing that could be, love."
[21:26] <Cicada> "By the Dragons! ... An Anahtema?!"
[21:28] <Storyteller> "I've never seen one... but it fits the stories... essence glowing like the sun.... images that mock the dragon's holy creations... and look at the way the people treat him...
[21:29] <Storyteller> indeed, the mortals around him are bowing quickly, falling to their knees.. even from this distance you can hear their prayers.
[21:29] <Storyteller> "He must be stopped!"
[21:29] <Cicada> "What are they thinking? That is an enemy of all of Creation!"
[21:30] <Cicada> "Call out the troops. We must attack it too."
[21:30] <Storyteller> he nods closing his eyes and channeling the essence he needs to speak to them over this distance. A moment passes.
[21:31] <Storyteller> "They come. And I have alerted his majesty."
[21:32] <Storyteller>  as the anima grows stronger, you can see that it is a massive hawk, outlined in glittering rays of essence

[21:35] <Storyteller> you can see your troops moving below! they are containing the demon, but it is too late for those who have heard his words... they have taken up spears and makeshift weapons and have made a defensive perimiter around the solar.
[21:36] <Storyteller> "This... this was planned."
[21:37] * Cicada jumps over the battlement of the tower and digging her fingertips into the wall just enough to slow her descent she plunges to the ground below.
[21:39] <Storyteller> your husband follows, a mighty crash ementating from around you as the earth absorbs the force of his fall.
[21:39] <Storyteller> together you run through the streets of the city, the people screaming in panic and hiding in their homes
[21:41] <Storyteller> You arrive on the scene, your troops and boom's staring each other down. The evil anathema looks at you both, seeming to be waiting for something.
[21:42] <Cicada> "Hold it right there, unholy one!"
[21:42] <Cicada> "You shall not have your way with these lands!"
[21:42] <Storyteller> he laughs.
[21:43] <Storyteller> "Who are you to tell me what I will and will not do, princess? I am beyond you."
[21:44] <Storyteller> "This city is mine, as are all the people here. Isn't that right?"
[21:44] <Cicada> "Your stolen powers cannot match true divinity! Be gone!"
[21:44] <Storyteller> The crowd brandishing improvised weapons roars in apporval.
[21:44] <Storyteller> <chanting> "Red Bloom Red Bloom Red BloomA"
[21:44] <Storyteller> "YAAAY"
[21:45] <Storyteller> <Red Bloom> "Foolish words from a foolish time. Serve me now, as you were born to do, or die under my heel, worthless scum."
[21:46] <Storyteller> "Never!" your husband yells, and throws himself into the fight
[21:46] <Storyteller> the troops attack!
[21:47] * Cicada charges the demon from opposite her husband.
[21:47] <Storyteller> The troops fight valiently, and the demon as well.
[21:47] <Storyteller> But he is more than a match for you.
[21:48] <Storyteller> Time after time you trade blows, but while his cause great pain and suffering, your own just glance off...
[21:49] <Storyteller> A cry is heard as the rulers of the city arrive, and you can feel their essence complimenting your own as smoke fills the air and great bolts of fire hurl themselves at the anathema
[21:49] <Storyteller> he is forced on the defensive, more and more of his essence going up in smoke...
[21:50] <Storyteller> the traitors that served him long since dead, the troops have backed off while the blooded take him on
[21:50] <Storyteller> Then, suddenly, a purple flare fills the sky....
[21:50] <Storyteller> from a tower in a distance you can see a golden flash.....
[21:50] <Storyteller> And suddenly, you cannot fight
[21:50] <Storyteller> a mysterious rune is carved on the ground under your feet.
[21:50] <Storyteller> The Anathema laughs
[21:52] <Storyteller> "You almost won! Good job."
[21:52] <Storyteller> "But you cannot defeat the power of the unconquered sun."
[21:52] <Cicada> "Damn you demon! What did you do?!"
[21:53] <Storyteller> "Even the Celestial Powers are greater than your own! As long as this rune is below my feet, no blow can be given.""
[21:53] <Storyteller> "So, I think, it is time to say goodbye.
[21:53] <Storyteller> He smiles.
[21:53] <Storyteller> "Unless, you would serve me."
[21:53] <Storyteller> "Truly you are worthy foes."
[21:54] <Storyteller> "Begone!" yell an elder DB who joined you in the battle. "Your words cannot trick us, anathema!"
[21:55] <Cicada> "And how would you execute us if no blows can land, eh Anathema?!"
[21:55] <Storyteller> "You cannot destroy the divine spark in me!" red bloom proclaims. "If you do not surrender now, I will attack, again, and again! You will never defeat me, but in time you will fall... this is your last chance to surrender."
[21:57] <Storyteller> "We will never join you, Anathema."
[21:57] <Storyteller> your husband says, his elemental essence swirling around him
[21:57] <Storyteller> "Very well, you have made your choice." Red bloom starts casting a spell, and essence flashes around him wildly!
[21:58] <Cicada> (aimed at my poor husband?)
[21:58] <Storyteller> no
[21:58] <Storyteller> faster and faster the essence spirals aound red bloom, until he cannot be seen in the glorious golden light
[21:59] <Storyteller> then, the essence is released like a giant wave, and it spreads outwards at a speed you could not hope to outrun.
[22:01] <Storyteller> Lost in the light, the next thing you are in a giant cathedral, your throne room. Colored light shines down on you, and you all you see is a little baby in your arms, cooing softly, and holding onto your finger with all her little might.
[22:02] * Cicada nearly cries at the sight of her baby girl.
[22:03] <Storyteller> your husband is on one knee next to you, holding you up, for you have just had an easy birth; already, the pains within your body receed.
[22:03] <Storyteller> your exalted charms knitting the wounds such stress inflicted on you
[22:04] <Storyteller> "She's beautiful..."
[22:04] <Cicada> "Beautiful is not the word."
[22:04] <Cicada> "She is a downright marvel."
[22:05] <Storyteller> "Yes," says a horribly familiar voice from behind you. "She is."
[22:06] * Cicada stiffens.
[22:07] <Storyteller> "So, do we have a deal?"
[22:07] <Cicada> "Yes... we have a deal."
[22:07] * Cicada says with a graven tone.
[22:09] <Storyteller> "Good. I am not wholey without a soul. Perhaps, you will learn to see this, over the rest of your daughters life."
[22:10] <Cicada> "If you say so. Do not make this worse by your 'heartfelt' sympathy."
[22:10] <Storyteller> "Of course."
[22:11] <Storyteller> "Please, don't allow me to interrupt." and then he remains silent, watching from behind you.
[22:11] <Storyteller> your husband angrily grips at the open air, as if to summon his sword to him and strike down the foul anathema
[22:11] <Storyteller> but the sword does not come, though he stares angrily as if he wished it would
[22:13] <Cicada> "It is quite all right... 'master'. We were just finishing."
[22:15] <Storyteller> A dangerous silence hangs in the air, and then, something causes your husband to break his glance. He looks at you, as if searching for reassurance. and then, falls to sit next to you, his will to fight broken in the face of your tacit compliance.
[22:16] * Cicada glances over at her husband as if t ask; "What else can we do?"
[22:17] <Storyteller> sadly, he shakes his head no and then wraps one arm around you, looking at his newly-born daughter.
[22:18] <Storyteller> little cicada finally becomes tired, and falls asleep in your arms
[22:19] <Storyteller> "What should we name her?" your husband finally asks.
[22:19] * Cicada too looks deeply at her baby, as if to make some - any - sort of imprint of her remain with the child they have to give away.
[22:20] <Cicada> "Something befitting a child of her royal character and emphasising her beauty..."
[22:20] <Storyteller> "Something to remind her, when she reaches the age, to know that she is not just another ill-begotten daughter..."
[22:22] <Cicada> "August" for her virtue, and "Moon" for the only thing that could possibly match her beauty asleep on a warm night.
[22:23] <Cicada> "What do you think?"
[22:23] <Storyteller> "It is a good name, but it does not sound... great."
[22:23] <Storyteller> He thinks, for a moment.
[22:23] <Storyteller> "Augustus Moon."
[22:24] * Cicada nods. "That sounds right for her."
[22:24] <Storyteller> he smiles and puts one of his massive, blocky fingers on her head.
[22:24] <Storyteller> "Then that is your name, my daughter."
[22:26] <Storyteller> little Augustus Moon sleeps happily, innocently, in your arms for a long time. But then, it's time to decide exactly what the oaths will be.
[22:26] * Cicada wonders for a second what the purpose of this naming was. Her child will never know, and grow up far removed from all of her heritage.
[22:27] * Cicada then corrects herself. Her child will grow up, become strong and reclaim her heritage. *That* is the real purpose of this sending her away. She has to keep on believing that.
[22:28] <Storyteller> Yes, your daughter will one day find out her true name, and then she will learn again, who she truly is.
[22:31] <Cicada> (and then she will want nothing but to kill the parents who abandoned her and betrayed the Realm. But that is all in the future :)

[22:40] <Cicada> "What were your questions?"
[22:41] <Storyteller> "In the first age, there was a bloodline of dragon blood, created specifically to serve the greatest of the Solar Exalted."
[22:42] <Storyteller> "But after the purge, they dissapeared. Some thought that they could not bear being without their lords, despite their betrayal, and so destroyed themselves."
[22:43] <Storyteller> "I have been looking for them, and in you, I've found proof that at least one still lives."
[22:43] <Storyteller> "And in your dreams, it is obvious, there are others still...."
[22:44] <Storyteller> Juniper smiles.
[22:44] <Cicada> "Hopefully you're not talking about me..."
[22:45] <Storyteller> "Oh, I am. Cicada, your family tree is long and twisted... but it is there. And I will find it."
[22:45] <Storyteller> "Because now, I have cues as what to look for."
[22:45] <Storyteller> "Still alive... still hiding..."
[22:45] <Storyteller> Juniper considers, and smiles.
[22:46] <Storyteller> "Their Blood still pure."
[22:46] * Cicada decides against showing Juniper her full written blodline and searches for a way to change the direction of the conversation.

[22:46] <Storyteller> she nods
[22:47] <Cicada> "Have you any experience with Blooded pregnancies. By all my knowledge i should have had a screaming little kid over three months ago."
[22:47] <Cicada> "And I hardly even have a hump on my stomach."
[22:48] <Storyteller> Juniper looks at you oddly.
[22:48] <Storyteller> "How long have you been pregnanat?"
[22:49] <Cicada> "Some twelve months now."
[22:49] <Storyteller> "Ah"
[22:49] <Storyteller> Juniper tries to cover her smile with her hand.
[22:49] <Cicada> "And when I worked sorcery before to rebuild my body I felt something shift inside me."
[22:50] <Storyteller> "A blooded pregnanacy takes 15 months, my dear."
[22:50] <Storyteller> "If you changed your body with sorcery... something indeed may have changed."
[22:50] <Storyteller> she sighs.
[22:50] <Storyteller> "But it is doubtful it was harmful, if you cast the spell right."
[22:52] <Storyteller> "Maybe if I had been there.... I can have you examined in the imperial city, many of the best doctors in creation can be found there."
[22:53] * Cicada nods.
[22:53] <Cicada> "I have never tried anything like this before. I'm terrified."
[22:53] <Cicada> "Do you have children, Lady Juniper."
[22:54] <Storyteller> "No, I haven't yet found a man that would be to my advantage to wed. Maybe one day, mother will tell me "Go, lay with that man", but that hasn't happened to me yet."
[22:55] * Cicada nods.
[22:56] <Cicada> "Have you ever considered Cathak Tabius. He is a rising light. Especially if the next few weeks work out allright."
[22:57] <Storyteller> she smirks.
[22:58] <Storyteller> "Tabius is the result of politics, not a player of them. But if I ever get lonely, I'll keep him in mind."
[22:59] * Cicada nods. Not just a little dissapointed at not finding a match for Tabius, among other things to help her forget about him herself. But inwardly she also feels an almost uncomfortable joy that he will remain availble for some more time.
[23:01] <Storyteller> "Still, he is fun to lead around. If he would show more intelligence, I might consider it."
[23:02] * Cicada looks about to protest, then settles down. Her lord is not all that bright a light among the ladies - never was.
[23:02] <Storyteller> "Do you still wish to serve him? Your secret is out, or will be, if you keep running around like that."
[23:03] <Cicada> "I am no longer his servant."
[23:03] * Cicada keeps it at that curt answer.
[23:03] <Storyteller> she nods understandingly
[23:05] <Storyteller> "Good luck to you, in life and love." she begins to stand, and then gives you a cursory glance, and a smile.
[23:05] <Storyteller> "If you should ever seek a new master, feel free to seek me out."
[23:05] <Cicada> "Thank you. We'll speak again, I presume."
[23:05] <Storyteller> "I'd be more than happy for a servant as skilled as you."
[23:05] <Storyteller> she smiles and bows.
[23:05] <Storyteller> "Of course."
[23:05] <Storyteller> then, gracefully, she leaves the room.

[21:11] * Cicada run a hand over her hair letting brilliant dust like tiny diamonds fall from it, and the wind draws around her making everything be just where it is supposed to and drawing attention at her by the mere olfactory sensation of clearness and purity around her.
