[21:15] Cicada and Sanyet are still stuck on the fireshark's back, it's naked body glistening and wings of fire fluttering in the morning breeze [21:15] * Tabius removes Cicada gently as possible from the FireSharks grasp. [21:15] The fireshark's face is frozen expressionless, looking up - it didn't even realize what was coming. [21:16] "You will not take any being from this vessel." [21:16] the fireshark doesn't move, unable to reply [21:17] * Tala says seriously but calmly as she continues the movements which channel the essence binding the spirit [21:17] (to Tabius) "Get Sanyet... He is is hurt the most!" [21:17] Sanyet is still unconcious, lying over the spirit's shoulder [21:18] * Tabius continues with Cicada till she is free and carries her over near Tala before going back for Sanyet [21:18] the boat rocks in the ocean, adrift... the breeze blows from the west, making more distance from the Isle [21:19] Tabius can see beads of sweat covering the firesharks' perfect white skin as he picks sanyet off and steps back [21:20] "Tabius, we need to move the ship at speed. Do you have the strength?" [21:20] "I can, but a moment please." [21:20] * Tabius attempts to read the Firesharks mind. [22:20] juniper looks at tabius oddly and tries to direct her men in the operation of the boat. [22:26] Jynaru is idly strumming his bow, watching the fireshark and the island carefully. [22:26] "I can summon one that can carry the ship a hundred miles in an hour." [22:26] Juniper laughs. [22:26] * Vanal takes his eye off the fireshark for a few moments to look at the island [22:26] "Do we have sufficient supply to keep us to the Imperial watersways if we go that fast?" [22:26] "How ... much ... longer..." Tala says, obviously weary [22:27] "And I bet you can do that in bed, too." [22:27] * Vanal gives the island The Finger "Fuck you, rock in the middle of nowhere ! And good RIDDANCE !" [22:27] the boat is travilng at about 20 mph, so that's about.... 10-15 minutes. [22:27] * Tala is charged with essence, vitalized even, howerver her focus is strained. [22:28] "Vanal, would you be so kind as to push the Fireshark overboard so we can get moving." [22:28] vanal, you think the island would flick you off if it had fingers. [22:50] Vanal hauls the people to places to hold on, and several minutes pass before it levels off some miles from the waves and begins to head southeast. But if you fall off, it's a long way down. [22:52] Unsurprisingly, everyone is rather surprised at Tabius' sorcerous abilities..... [23:07] Going straight to the realm not only crossess several lines of shipping, it takes them through at least two wyld zones. [23:08] While the stories the captains of the merchant fleet can just be attributed to bad luck, the wyld zones provide a more direct threat. [23:09] Most of the first day and much of the second is spent blocking off several corridors and using a variety of occult techniques to harden them from the wyld twisting [23:09] * Bog_Mod (Bog@h24-80-214-33.gv.shawcable.net) has joined #pvpexaltedrp [23:10] you ride through in these shielded areas while the boat flies through the first wyld zone, late at night. The ship rattles and shakes as it goes through [23:10] * Tabius takes the berating in a very stoic fashion. [23:10] but you get through just fine. [23:10] The demon, however, does not. [23:11] * Tabius is ready to recast the spell as best as possible. [23:11] Weak and hurt from the wyld twisting, late at night on the second day, the demon crash lands into the ocean, but not before safetly dropping the ship. Juniper stops you from casting the spell again, until they can work out how to get around the next wyld zone and shipping lantes [23:12] Besides, it's not like you can have the demon catch the ship in mid-air [23:12] or rather you could risk it, but the demon has a rather crappy dex + ath pool [23:12] (*Stunts are suppose to be COOL ;-) *) [23:13] (*its all good*) [23:13] anyhow, everyones getting some sleep..... [23:13] * Vanal stops Tabs from casting it, too [23:13] oddly, nobody has needed much sleep the last few days. [23:13] That night, everyone catches up.. everyone but Tala. [23:14] Tala, your dreams are strange that night. They are of the deep places of the ocean. [23:14] strange fish and sunken wrecks.... [23:14] and everywhere you swim, deep below the sea, there are dolphins. [23:15] Sometime after midnight, in the darkest parts of the night, you wake from your bed, to hear the screeching of the happy dolphins in the sea. [23:16] The stars are out, and the moon is full. Walking out onto the calm deck, you look over the ocean, and see the largest dolphin pod creation has ever seen. [23:16] All over the ocean, the playing creatures swim, the moonlight glinting off their silvery bodies. [23:16] Eveyone else is sleeping... except for you. [23:17] Tala, the warm summer breeze fills the night air. [23:17] * Tala stares out across the ocean at the dolphins [23:18] dressed as you are in simple immaculate robes, you are alone on deck, drifting through the sea. The dolphins play with each other, floating with the ship, though somehow you know that they will not be there in the morning. [23:18] You hear a loud "SQueeee!" below you, and look down from the railing to see several dolphins smiling toothily up at you. [23:19] >< sqeeeeeee [23:20] The dolphins leap into the air and dive under the surface of the water. [23:20] but the rest of them remain, playing in the quiet night [23:21] The seven reappear to look at you, and you realize they want you to follow. [23:22] * Tala watches the dolphins play in the water [23:22] * Tala looks around the deck, [23:23] the deck is empty of all living things, though some spirits and memories might be drifting lazily through the air. [23:24] Seeing no one and gauging that she should need to worry about reaching the ship, she shrugs off her clothes and dives into the water [23:25] the dolphins happily swim around Tala, going deeper into the sea. You have no problem breathing or swimming in the ocean... it's like you could fly in the air. [23:25] the water glitters with the thousand little waves, and the dark shape of the boat looms above you as the dolphins lead you down into the ocean.... [23:27] very, very deep into the ocean. Past lumbering whales, strange squid, mysterious clouds of dust. [23:27] You travel so far down into the ocean that you lose sight of the waves above, until something down there catches your eye, like a glittering diamond at the bottom of the sea [23:27] * Tala enjoys swimming with the dolphins, relaxing in the water [23:29] The dolphins swim towards the glittering light, squeeing happily in the darkness... and you realize how far down whatever it is must be.. and how bit it is that you can see it already. [23:29] * Tala swims towards it [23:30] you go down and down to the ocean floor, coming to a ridge, always swimming towards the great light... [23:30] Finally, coming to the edge of the ridge, you look over, and are nearly blinded by the shining blocks of jade. [23:31] Massive towers, huge battlements, walls, palaces, columns of all the different kinds of jade. [23:31] Much of it glows with an inner light, though many sections are broken, and those parts of the palace are dim and quiet. [23:31] * Tala shields her eyes agains the light, squinting to try and make out more detail [23:32] It is like a city made out of jade, filled with hundreds of elaborate castles, each one carved equisately and perfectly out of whole metal. [23:32] The dolphins swim next to you slowly as you take in the sight... [23:33] and what it could be? it could only be one thing. The jade prison, forged so long ago. But the prison is in disrepair... and coming into the next part of the city, it is disturbing. [23:34] Here, the jade is broken. The towers are shattered, the walls are cumbled. The city here is in ruin, and more than that; the city here is not lit. Ahead of you, for miles and miles of what was too dim to see from above, lies a wreckage of twisted jade and rock and bones [23:35] * Storyteller palms werlynn a can of soda [23:36] * Tala stares at the carnage [23:36] * Tala wonders what could have possibly done this [23:37] There is nothing you can see.... but the dolphins are slow, and swim carefully, watching all around them. Even among the greatest preadators in the sea, they were not afraid. But here.... [23:39] something moves in the darkness. [23:40] from the rim of the city, under a massive pile of broken, spent jade, a monstrous head arises. Gleaming black bones covered with horrible metal spikes, the skull of the great creature looks like that of a rat.. but no rat has ever been that big... and no rat has a neck that is as long as twelve coutyard [23:41] it's looking....
